BEHIND THE MUSIC

Robert "Rob" Brown is an accomplished uplifting saxophonist whose soulful mixture of Jazz, R&B, and vibrant sounds has been delighting audiences around his hometown of Cincinnati, OH for many years. Rob has more than 40 years of experience playing the saxophone as a solo artist in local group and marching band.

 

Rob has been playing the saxophone since he was 14 years old in junior high school. The octave sounds of the tenor sax was the beginning of his love for this instrument. He continued to play the saxophone during his high school years, joining the Hughes High School marching band. After high school, he joined the group Caliber where he was given the stage name "Big Daddy." Robert preformed with Caliber for many years doing gigs such as Riverfest Fireworks, Taste of Cincinnati, Flannigan's, countless wedding receptions, and even Bar Mitzvahs.

Rob decided to step out as a solo artist within the last couple of years and finds so much joy in filling rooms with the sounds of Jazz, R&B, warmth, and love.
